| Best price I found in NJ on a 2008 Xterra 4x4 S model with floor mats as the only option ($115.00) is $23,400 if I finance it myself. It would be $26,400 if I take the 0.9% financing currently being offered by Nissan instead of the $3,000 cash-back. Sticker price is $27,505. Has anyone realistically done better than this? Please include details in reply. (Obviously this price is before TTL.) | |

suppose I could scan my bill of sale for the non-believers. Nissan had a $5K incentive to dealers, and the dealers may or may not have applied this or pocketed it themselves. This was on top of a $3K rebate. The other 2 was just smart negotiating

Here's the deal I just made on a used Xterra S with 19,000 miles. It was a CPO vehicle from a Nissan dealer. The truck is absolutely pristine - looks like it just rolled of the showroom floor. I paid $17,099 out the door (plus sales tax). I paid cash. Our market (Colorado) is flooded with 2008 Xterras from rental car fleets all with about the same mileage, so there's lots to choose from. I think $17,000 is in the range of the best price you can get, because I had to play four dealers off of each other before I could get one to sell at $17K. I had two others down to $17,500, but they just wouldn't budge - actually let me walk away knowing I had a deal at $17,099. This truck is CPO, so you might do just a bit better for a non CPO. Lastly, I think Xterras sell for a little more in Colorado than some other markets for obvious reasons. I saw some similar vehicles on Ebay Motors for $500 - $1000 less, but in places like south Florida. |
