We're in the DC metro area, we just bought a very nicely loaded automatic Touring with 6-cd changer and moonroof, spoiler & foglights, floor mats, bumper step for $18,800 "out the door" with a $2100 trade-in and over $1000 in taxes, tags and fees included. It's Carbon Grey. We already love it. One of the best "surprise" parts of the night was calling our insurance company-- our trade-in was a 1995 with lotsa miles. How much did our monthly insurance rate change? $10!!! I asked the agent if it was because the Mazda5 is practically made entirely out of airbags...lol. She laughed, said that they're are very highly rated. |

They were really great, all around. Absolutely the best dealer experience I've ever had. Brown's Mazda, Alexandria, VA |

| I just purchased my Mazda5 today from Puente Hills Mazda in CA. I got the touring model with AT for 19550 + TT&L. The salespeople were very nice, no pressure. They worked with us on the financing and even threw in a warranty for the cloth seats. Overall it was a great experience and I love my carbon M5! | |

Hi Guys, Just received my Mazda5 this past Saturday. Purchased from Browning Mazda in Cerritos, CA. Got the Carbon gray Touring with the 5spd and Navigation and Autodim mirror w/ Homelink for $21,600. I special ordered this car and had to wait 4 agonizing months for delivery. I dealt with the fleet manager who was friendly and honest. Puente Hills is actually the local dealer for me, but I felt pressured every time I walked in there, and the salespeople actually lied to me about some things... |

Anyone know of a Mazda dealer in the Tampa, FL area who is giving good deals on the Mazda 5?

Hello, I've been reading many of the posts here, very informative. And, I did see the praise for Brown's Mazda of Fairfax; I'll keep that in mind (would prefer MD, since that's where we live, but we'll see). We're planning on buying our M5 in the next two weeks or so, and have settled on a Touring with Automatic. The major question (feature-wise) is whether to get the navigation system (I've never had one, always wanted one, and always told myself I'd get it in my next car; but it seems expensive). So, for the Touring/AT (no Nav), Edmunds says invoice $19109, and TMV $19713. Add the navigation and it goes to invoice $20829 and TMV $21563. What's been your experience doing better than the TMV? Any good experiences around Washington, DC to share? Any thoughts on the Navigation option? Thanks! TW

Replying to: toddw (Mar 19, 2006 6:52 pm) I'll say this about it. It's a cool toy, but it helps if you know where you're going. The logic behind the route selection is questionable... It has a hard time recognizing ferry crossing and sometimes what it picks as the shortest route turns into the longest route. The data is also a bit old. I live in Northern, VA and the nav system doesn't have our neighborhood (or half of Ashburn, VA) in the database, even though our house was built in 2002. However, it does keep my 2 year old entertained in the car. Whenever we get into the car, he always asks me to turn on the little tv. Now, as for dealers... I would recommend Fitzgeralds in Frederick and the Mazda dealership in Hagerstown. I'm so, so on Gaithersburg Mazda and Congressional Mazda. They're pricing wasn't that competitive. Stay away from Laural Mazda. When I got a quote from them, it included a $2,000 "regional pricing adjustment" to MSRP and it turned out the car had over 200 miles on the odometer. Yeah, slimy... We actually got ours from Winchester Mazda. They where the lowest in price, had the color we wanted, and was really easy to deal with. I realized that I had to travel, but it was worth the trip. I did the deal through their Internet Sales Manager.
