Does anyone have any idea what I should be able to lease the basic 5 passenger 07 Tribeca for? The subaru website has a great deal listed for an 07, but I'm not sure if that's really going to happen when I go to the dealership. I'm going to go test drive and check out all the options today....we will see how it goes.

Just purchased a 2008 Tribeca Ltd w/nav from Gold Rush Subaru in Auburn, CA (northern California)   2008 Tribeca Ltd w/Nav Quartz silver metallic trailer tow package puddle lights cargo mat MSRP: $36,500 My price: $34,459 Total with tax, registration: $37,309   I did almost the entire deal on the internet, soliciting bids from 6 dealers within driving range, receiving 3 live bids, and bargaining down the best initial offer by an additional $400. The dealer experience was essentially painless as all I had to do was walk in with a checkbook and pay my previoulsy agreed-to price. My feeling as to dealer response is that they are not sure just how the 2008 model will sell and are playing fairly tight with their offers as their inventories are still low. One automall dealer stated in his email the 2008s are in short supply and LARGE demand.   Am basking in the glory of a new car, smelling the leather and reading the owner's manual. First goal: programming the Homelink with gate/garage opener settings. I have received a quote for $34,199 plus tax and tags. The prices on these seem to be coming down quickly.

Hey all,   I found a dealer with 2, yes 2, 2006 Tribeca's in its inventory. What are your thoughts?   Both are fully loaded 7 passenger limiteds with an MSRP of $37,192 (+/-). He's saying he could do a deal for $33500.   Carsdirect can get me an 2007 with a similar MSRP at similar savings...   Let me know if I should stay away (my main reason for considering is the possible discount over newer models).   Thanks. Mainly because of the stronger engine w/no premium fuel recommendation & equal MPG, but there are other improvements as well, including transmission & suspension improvements. The post above yours shows a quote for an '08 7-pass Ltd at only $600 more than the '06 you're looking at. That's 2 years newer for only $600 more. If you drive a typical amount, you could make that up in gas savings alone after about 3 years, not to mention thousands in resale value. For me, the '06 (or even '07) would be a pretty hard sell unless I was specifically after the styling of those years above all else - why buy a car that'll be 2 years old as soon as you drive it off the lot, unless you're getting an amazing deal? Replying to: maradag (Aug 21, 2007 10:04 am) If you do find an '07 you like, you should be able to get it for at least $3000 below invoice (and possibly up to $4000 below). You can view invoice prices for all the years of Tribecas (including '08s) here: http://www.cars101.com/tribeca.html   If you're debating between the '07 & '08, drive 'em both & see if the '08 engine makes a difference to you. Good luck & let us know if you want advice on any quote you receive!

Replying to: maradag (Aug 20, 2007 8:08 pm) New 2007 Tribecas are going for $6k+ below MSRP. This includes a $2750 rebate. You can also apply low rate financing on top of that.   2006 should be at least $8k-$9k below MSRP.
