FINALLY GOT MY 2007 TRIBECA (2 1/2 MONTHS LATER!) by flgirlaol

Remember my story about how I put in an order for my black 2007 Tribeca LTD in October and my husband picked it up in December and wrecked it?

Well, I finally got it out of the body shop this past weekend!

What an ordeal! This was the first time I have ever seen my car as I was out of town when my husband picked it up here in FL to drive it up to Atlanta to meet me at the airport with it. Well, he was with my mom in the car and they hit another car crashing the whole front end. The two of them were stuck in a small town in GA 3 hours from Atlanta and had to get my brother to drive down from there to pick them up. My husband had just picked up this car only 2 days before! Thank God for our sales rep (J.B.) at Eddie Acardi Suburu in Ft Lauderdale who helped them through this ordeal and got the car towed back from GA to a body shop in Ft Lauderdale.

Well, the body shop got the car in January and has had it ever since. They did a great job, but Suburu took quite some time getting parts in. One last part took the longest and it was some pad between the hood and engine. It was out of stock until mid-March! We couldn't get the car until then. We contacted a customer svc rep at Suburu (I wish I knew his name) and they were so kind and took one off a car off the lot for us. They did not have to do this.

I just love this car and I just LOVE the aftermarket Bluetooth phone system I had installed at the dealership. I can keep my hands on the wheel and talk on the phone. It's great and so much safer when I have to take a call with kids in the car. Today I tooked up a stereo cable for my IPOD and now I'm playing all my tunes in the car. But it's hard to compete with finally having the XM integrated in my car (my Lincoln Navigator had it added later). This car is so cute and it's so unusual down here where you just don't see these around. Kids also love the DVD but they were used to that from the other car.

Took it to the dealer yesterday because the auto-start button isn't working. They ordered a new motor for it and checked my brakes for me as I was concerned after the wreck that those were not working well. Everything checked out fine. J.B. my salesperson even gave me the keys to his car so I could take it to the mall so I didn't have to wait.

Did I also mention I'm thrilled with all the extra room in the garage after getting rid of the big old SUV? I have tons of space.

Nice that they took one off a car on the lot. Supply is short, too, because they're only using one assembly line at SIA (Toyota has taken over the other).

I remember reading about your joy-turned-tragedy ordeal... glad you can finally get on with enjoying your new Subaru! So nice to hear the dealership employees (& Subaru employees) treated you well. Kudos to Eddie Acardi Subaru & SOA on this one.

Finally got my B9 Tribeca March 3 that I ordered on Jan. 4. Dealer (in Maine) was fabulous in getting the exact car I wanted: Diamond gray 7 pass. DVD/NAV, Special Edition Accessory Package, camera, XM, starter, Pop. Equip. Group 1 & 2, Protection Group 2, Puddle lights, Retractable cover, Cargo Area Conv. Group, Hood protector, rear assist sensors. Paid $35,995. Well worth the wait!!

Quick! Need rebate/incentive info! by sweetpete

Guys,

Local dealer has a demo '07 B9 7 Pass Limited w/DVD&NAVI and lots of other options. The vehicle has 5700 miles. Has it listed for ~$36k, hinted that I could get out-the-door price (price including TTL) for $35k. Their website says all 2007 B9's have $2k rebate, but not sure if that's from the dealer or SOA. I've been doing some reading on this forum and it seems that there is a $2500 or $3500 SOA-to-dealer incentive/holdback, but I can't seem to confirm. Can anyone verify please? Also, what would you guys consider to be a great deal (besides free on this vehicle?

IMO the price on the demo sounds high. Very high, even.

5700 miles is a lot. At this point it is used, not new.

I've been looking for used 06 models, and you can get them loaded like that for $28-29k. What makes that demo worth $7 grand more?

The price should be in the low 30s, IMO.

I agree w/juice - $35k is too high for a demo. For reference, Fitzmall has a BRAND NEW '07 7-pass Ltd DVD/Nav for under $32. No way a used (or demo) B9 should come in higher, regardless of options.

If you're in the market, go for a new '07. In addition to the current $2k consumer rebate, current incentives allow you to combine it with low finance rates, so your payment on a new one may actually be cheaper than used. Current factory-to-dealer incentives should be somewhere around $1500-$1800, so you should easily be able to get $3500 below invoice (including destination) plus low rates.

You can view current Subaru finance rates & rebates here:

Hope this helps.

Currently there's 2 rebate availble: 1)$2,000 Customer Finance Cash on 07 TRIBECA 5-Passenger models 2)$2,000 Customer Cash on 07 TRIBECA 5-Passenger models, does that means should easily to get $4000 below invoice? Any additional factory-to-dealer incentives?
