Try www.sne1.com to search the inventory of the entire New England area. It's a good start to find what you need. Pick the closest dealer by Zip Code. If he doesn't have the one you want in stock, he can order from other NE dealers.

2007 Tribeca 5 pass LTD in Seattle by garvan

paid $29.8k w/o DVD/NAV but most everything else. It took 4 days to close with all the back and fourth haggling, but it was fun. I hit another shop in central Washington and they turned me down flat.
I then told the "other" dealer what my deal was with Seattle store and he said "not possible".

garvan - just curious, was your purchase from Carter? (It's OK to mention dealership name and city, just not contact info.)

Stewart - welcome to the US! Check out Fitzmall online - they've got a Maryland Subaru dealership and you can see their very low prices online. Hard to beat their offers, whether you're buying one car or a dozen. Maryland's not my part of the country, but others here on Edmunds have purchased Subarus from them. Van Bortel Subaru in New York state is also supposed to be very low-cost. Hope this gives you a starting point.

You won't find a single Liberty in stock in North America, though! Maybe you'll have to get a Legacy instead.

Okay so I called the dealer again who had offered me 3K off a 7 Pass. with 3,000 miles. I asked what kind price they would sell at considering the factory to dealer was now $3,500 and considering the mileage. The salesman told me that they could not discount for the mileage but that he would "pay me more than my trade was worth to make up for it". So basically you may pay me what my car is really worth instead of low balling me. I guess I won't be buying a car there.

Jeff,

Thanks for the info. I will research Fitzmall, but in doing some light reading how can they help me if I am moving to the Boston Area? I would prefer to establish a relationship with a local dealer for ongoing support and maintenance.

How much is the MSRP and Invoice? As far as I know, Subaru don't offer $1250 rebate for 2007 model in West.

Stewart,
Hello. While I am temporarily living in Florida, my perm home is 30 minutes outside Boston. I am not sure what town you will be living in as many people call all of Eastern MA the Boston area. I did a test drive at Clay Subaru, Norwood, MA (Providence Highway also known as Route 1); and the sales people were very pleasant no high pressure sales. Also they asked who there competition was and mentioned that Clay owned several dealers on Route 1. I also visited the Clay Hyundai and had good experience there as well. I wonder if you may be able to broker a deal if you end up buying two cars but at different Clay dealerships? Fyi Route 1 Norwood/Dedham/Westwood is called the Automile because every kind of dealership is located there (in fact it is more like 3 miles.). Be prepared for the cost of car insurance which in MA is out of this world!

It's not a 'rebate', it's a dealer incentive from Subaru. So- it's not really advertised. It's still available, including cars in the west.

You can find out retail and invoice pricing, as well as suggested 'good deal' prices from www.carsdirect.com. (or edmunds.com)
