Hi. I got a quote today on a 2006 7 Pass Limited of 2K below invoice. The internet salesman played dumb when I asked about a factory to dealer incentive (which I read about on cars101.com). When he mentioned one of the 2006 was a demo (though never titled) and had say 5,000 miles I asked what discount I would get for that. He offered an additional 1K for the mileage. Now I know that dealer incentive is 3K for that car. Do you think I can negotiate more money off for the mileage? Also should I be able to get the special financing since this is a factory to dealer and not factory to buyer?

Replying to: honk2 (Jan 05, 2007 7:24 pm) However, this is out the door cash offer with no financing and trade-in on my part.

Replying to: scouzi (Jan 05, 2007 7:44 pm) My quote was with a $2500 rebate. So in theory, the price should be around $30700 now on the 06 for a $38350 MSRP Tribeca. |

Replying to: honk2 (Jan 05, 2007 7:24 pm) In my region, current rebate on the '06 7-pass is $3500 and can be combined with special rates. Check out cars101.com for the rates. No way you should be doing worse than invoice minus $4000. I'd think you could get $5k under invoice. |

I am moving to the Massachusetts from Australia in the next few months as part of a internal company relocation. I need to source 2 cars (prefer new). I am looking at the 07' B9 Tribca 7-pass Ltd w/NAV for my wife/kids and a 07' Liberty 2.5 GT Limited Sedan for me. Locally if I were to approach a single dealer and negotiate a deal on two new cars I would get a extremely good deal. Can I expect the same experience in the US or Mass? If so, any examples on how I can best leverage this buying power. Everything from purchase price, options, finance (buy/lease) and insurance and service deals. Thanks Stewart |

paid $29.8k w/o DVD/NAV but most everything else. It took 4 days to close with all the back and fourth haggling, but it was fun. I hit another shop in central Washington and they turned me down flat. I then told the "other" dealer what my deal was with Seattle store and he said "not possible". |

Okay so I called the dealer again who had offered me 3K off a 7 Pass. with 3,000 miles. I asked what kind price they would sell at considering the factory to dealer was now $3,500 and considering the mileage. The salesman told me that they could not discount for the mileage but that he would "pay me more than my trade was worth to make up for it". So basically you may pay me what my car is really worth instead of low balling me. I guess I won't be buying a car there.
