The '07 will probably be worth a $1k or $2k more than the '06. But if you're talking $6-$7K difference right now, you're right- it's not worth it at all. You can install a backup camera for a lot less, and live without seat memories.

Has anyone heard of a the Tribeca catching on fire? I know someone who purchased one & 2 weeks later the center console burned. Car was park & unoccupied. They went out to car & found center console & seats burned right at the cup holder. Inside the center console box there is 2 outlets for a/c adapters & the body of the adapters are under the cup holder. My friend call Subaru customer service & asked that a technical rep inspect this car & they refused to help my friend in any way. They said go thru your insurance. I would be afraid to park this car in my garage & it starts on fire.

Hopefully the insurance company can investigate the case. I hope your friend doens't have enemies capable of that. -juice

Brake assist can be good or bad, I hate Mercedes brakes for instance. They feel very unnatural and non-linear. Suspension also, could or could not be a real improvement. I think these things are minor. It's the same body, engine, transmission, only a few tweaks here and there. I actually think the memory seats and rear cam are more useful. -juice
