Hi All, I just bought a 5 passenger Limited with Nav. I got a great price from Grand Subaru in Chicago. They were easy to deal with. Nice guys. They have an online guy who quoted me a good price and stuck to it when I arrived. I got the Pearl white with Beige leather. It is really cool. I have NEVER seen a Tribeca on the road. Happy shopping. Belva |

I have read a lot of complaints about the power in this vehicle, I certainly have no complaints. Particular while going aroound 40 or 50 & you want to pass someone. Love the Nav system although it does have some idiosyncracies (don't ask me how to spell that word). Many more features than on the GArmin Street Pilot I had. But, it kept telling me my trip from Montreal home, although it gave accurate mileage of approx 360 kept telling me it was a 8 hour trip, and I have driven is many times & less than 6 hours. Other than that a nice toy & I will get a lot of use out of it. Works great in Canada, much better than the GArmin. |

I want to buy an 07 7 seat limited tribeca, with dvd and nav. Dealer quoted me invoice plus $550 (costco deal) and I got him to take off $1250 for the marketing support dealer kickback. Which brings to price to $36, 079. (I know the good deals are on the 06 right now, but no dealer near me has a white one, and also they don't have back up cameras.) Is this a good price? I got them to hold it until Wed. claiming my husband needs to see it and he's out of town. If it matters, I'm in southern California. Thanks, -Krista

The '07 will probably be worth a $1k or $2k more than the '06. But if you're talking $6-$7K difference right now, you're right- it's not worth it at all. You can install a backup camera for a lot less, and live without seat memories.

Has anyone heard of a the Tribeca catching on fire? I know someone who purchased one & 2 weeks later the center console burned. Car was park & unoccupied. They went out to car & found center console & seats burned right at the cup holder. Inside the center console box there is 2 outlets for a/c adapters & the body of the adapters are under the cup holder. My friend call Subaru customer service & asked that a technical rep inspect this car & they refused to help my friend in any way. They said go thru your insurance. I would be afraid to park this car in my garage & it starts on fire.
