Or...it's as if you paid less than you did for your new car.

When you look at it that way, the longer they take, the better your deal becomes. The price just keeps dropping.

Pray for more delays. LOL

I think he is not asking about the issue so much as the delay on the 5 LTDs. I wonder if its to change over to allow the 5 LTDs to be able to have NAV and DVD options now...

I agree. Take the loaner, and ask for a tribeca if they have one. Then drive it like you're renting it for free . Put as many miles as you feel like and test out the capabilities of the car (within reason of course).

I'd love it if they take some time to deliver the car. By taking the loaner, you're forcing them to be quick about it since they know you're putting more and more miles on the loaner everyday.

Yeah, sales people always flavor certain facts in a way that serves their purpose so I get how you feel. But that's just a part of buying a car.

So it seems that you've not signed/paid for the car yet. To make yourself feel better, you can always ask for some small accessory before you do sign and pay for the car. (keychain or all-season floor mats).

Hey, if they take a while, you have time to really get to know the car and potentially change your mind and decide on a different car or options.

"So you paid more because they had the color and options you wanted and you were not willing to walk away. no offense but you paid a premium because you wanted what they had and they probably knew that. its supply and demand."

Actually to get the story straight I searched out and found the closest vehicle to what I wanted and it was very hard to find. My dealer had given up and said it wasn't around at any dealers and was goind to just order one but it was going to take like 6 weeks so I searched around. I found a dealer that had exactly what I wanted except it had DVD about 2 hours away. When my dealer called they said they would not cooperate on a dealer trade and lied and said they had a buyer. I called them and at first they tried to get me to come all the way up there to buy it from them. After my dealer called again and they still told him no, I called and told them it would be in their best interest to cooperate with my dealer as they weren't going to get the sale from me anyway and would be more likely to sell what color with same options vehicle my dealer was trading them for if they hadn't sold the one they had I wanted by now among other influential things.

They then cooperated with my dealer in trading the vehicle and getting down to my dealership. Basically I did all the negotiating and got the other dealer to cooperate with mine. I set them up and they just had to follow through. But you are right , they still used it against me that they knew that was what I wanted and that they knew and I knew that no other Tribeca was around in the colors/options I wanted. They also knew I had gone to all that trouble to get it from the other dealer for them and they stated that this was the colors options I wanted and wasn't around.

To me the bottom line was that I had done all the work to get it from the other dealer not them so they should be charging me full price premium because of it. Regardless they called my bluff knowing I had done all that work and trouble that I wouldn't then walk out on it as maybe I could find a better deal at another dealer but not that color/options so they had me. They took advantage.

As far as the DVD i initially didn't need/want I end up loving it especially for the auxilary audio/video inputs especially the audio for my mp3 player iand portable xm sat radio (free gift with pre order).

Bottom line is the dealer got the deal , knew I wasn't happy from start to finish. threw in the 2 cheapest options for free just to get me to come in to get them and installation knowing I would then buy from them and install while I was there. They gave me no discount on anythign even after I said i expected some other options and service thrown in. They even tried to sell me the warranty at time of sale and after I had just told them that I knew of other ppl that got that thrown in for free, they still tried and I said are you crazy do you want to blow this deal. When i came back for the installation of the free options they still tried to sell me the others at full price and only after I threatened and made a big problem they gave me a measly 15% off or something. So 2 options in the beginning thrown after I told them i knew I was paying over 2,000 above invoice and wan't happy and then 15% off accessories and install after further complaining but they still made another 500 or so off of me.

What pisses me off more now is that I could have waited and got a 5 seater with NAV whe that was the only reason i got the 7 seater and I'm assuming then that you can also get DVD with the audio inputs but still no audio inputs without dvd so i guess the only thing you dont get with the 5 seater with nav and dvd is the rear ac vents and control?
but thats another story. Thats what you get for beign an early innovator and there is somethint to be said for the fun and stares of a new model.

Because at that rate as far as waiting for the 5 seater with nav availablility you could say wait for the 07 model which might have some improvements/additions including possibly back up camera, auto rear hatch among other things although im sure for a price.

Does anyone know what would be a good price for me to pay for a Subaru 7 year 100K extended gold warranty for a Tribeca?
