I will be picking up my 5 pass LTD at VIP pricing in a few weeks. Ordered puddle lights and mirror. My dealer is quoting 31,100. for the car out the door. Did your you have to pay any extras besides the 30,780 you stated for the car?
Thanks for the info.

the 10% discount is just for their customers, you even get a little yellow sticker on your windshield with a special number so when you drive in they look up your records by that number.
I had the cheek to ask if I get the discount on my 2 other Subarus but they said only on the ones I purchase from them!

the on line warranty was at http://www.business-solutions.us/projects/masterPortfolio/Subaru/www/other/home.cfm
to get the actual price you have to go through the initial part of their application process

its a Subaru dealer in MA, I got a warranty from them 3 yrs ago for my WRX, very easy to work with, send them the details on line and they send you the Subaru forms all filled out for you to sign and you send them back the payment and SOA sends you your paperwork. Gary Lang matched their price.(They were actually willing to match 3 yrs ago too but insisted I go in to fill out the paperwork and I was too lazy as these guys in MA had sent me all the forms and a stamped envelope to return them). For a 7/100 Subaru Gold Added Security with zero deductible it was 1560 (list is about 2400)

Latest update on our quest to purchase a 5 seated limited. We have a fair deal of less than $32K for the Ltd with puddle lights, dimming mirror, crossbars, and a few other modest add-ons. This was all done on the internet.

Today we took in our '96 Volvo 850 with 92,500 miles to get a trade-in value. They offered $1200--way below any listed trade-in value. They had a print-out with a value of $1550 and said they wouldn't even get that from the used car wholesaler to whom they were selling it. "If you hadn't negotiated such a good price on the Tribeca we could pay more for your used car but we're only making $300 off the deal," the salesman said.

We're going to try to sell it ourselves, or consider starting over shopping for a new dealer.

Any advice?

On the plus side, leasing becomes available in NY tomorrow saving us over $1K in sales tax.

I am in Monmouth County of NJ.

A couple of dealers offered about $200-$400 Below whatever www.carpoint.com's invoice price on Tribeca 7 seats/leather with DVD and no Navi.

Their invoice and MSN's invoice do match.

It is <$500 invoice + $129 doc fee + 7.50 tires + 47.50 tag transfer + the big Tax. I test drove all the four - Nissan Murano, Highlander(not hybrid), Rx330 and Tribeca. I did not choose to test drive the (legacy) MDX. Tribeca is a winner. Very pleasant inside and extremely comfortable ride. Tribeca has very nice colors to choose from. Murano placement of the console etc was odd if not awkward(to me atleast). Murano may have a few extra options like memory and backup camera. But overall, me and my wife liked Tribeca lot better than others in the list. I was told that Subaru may add this camera feature soon. Toyota was kind of bland and I heard the 07 shape will change. Is this a reasonable price ?.

Sorry for the goof.

Two dealers, one is $200 and the other $400 below the invoice.

I have seen pretty good inventory on their lots.

Under invoice...

We've negotiated a 5 passenger LTD with puddle lights, dimming mirror, and other add-ons for just under $32,000 including everything but sales tax. We feel okay about the price.

We're working on the lease, just offered in NY for the first time in several years since the repeal of the vicarious liability laws. We've been quoted $389 for a 36 month lease, 12K miles, $2500 down, tax rolled into the lease. I've asked the dealer to give me money factor and buyout information which I haven't yet received. I'm told this lease is through Subaru Financial. It seems high to me.

what if any action can be taken if you overpaid? by x5killer

I have been through this before and had it out with the dealer as well as still pursuing what action I can take short of what I have already done in letting SOA know. But as an example I saw someone post:
35200 +tax for my B9, options include (above mentioned 7psgr limited, pearl white, beige leather, Navigation, DVD) puddle lights, auto dimming rear view mirror, cargo tray and net.

I paid about 3,000 more for basically the same model. What can I do? The dealership was all helpful when trying to make the deal but after showing invoice pricing and expressing not being happy with the price at the time of the deal and afterwards under the impression that they would throw in some free options and future service consideration they basically only threw in 2 cheap options and then tricked me into spending over 500 more on other options and their installation while there getting the installation of the 2 cheap free options. They have since given me the silent treatment and not responded when I let them know of my further dissatisfaction.
I think they think they got away with it but they will lose much more by me never getting a vehichle from them again , spreading the word and giving them a bad rep, not taking it there for any service or giving them another cent for anything as well as letting SOA know my dissatisfaction in the survey and other communications.

Anyone know what else can be done. Can i take them to court for overcharging me?
heh.
