great experience getting my Tribeca, got IMBA VIP pricing so price was never an issue. Sales people were wonderful letting me try different cars and trying to find one with the options etc I wanted. Walked in with a loan rate I had got online which was very good already and they found something from a local bank for even less. Could have dispensed with the obligatory attempt to sell the "environmental protection package". Thought the finance people should have known how to cash the Subarubucks though, or thought about asking the cashiers office who handle it all the time! These were all minor things though. What was nice was not having to price haggle and being treated real well. Get 10% off all major maintanance for life of vehicle. Also got them to sell the AddedSecurity warranty for 40% off list.(They matched something I found on line from a MA dealer- should have seen their faces when they figured out how much of a discount it was!)

THIS IS NOT TRUE-- ORDERS COST THE SAME TO THE DEALER. The cars in inventory will begin to cost them if not sold quickly. so the best deal you eill find is on one in inventory even if they take a small loss on that paticular vehicle. they will do this to get rid of it . if you order it cost is cost. as they say - "it is what it is"

If the dealer only has a few cars of a particular model on lot and next batch is about two months away, AND the model sells fast, it is dealer's best interest to get maximum profit from the cars they have. Of course, if that model does not sell, it's otherway around.

I'm tired of reading all of the ridiculous advise flying around the forums. I'm a manager at the nations leading B9 tribeca dealer. Many of you are being led down the wrong path. It's really very easy to get a great deal and feel wonderful about it. Hopefully I can help all of you do that.

somewhat true. the fact of the mater is that the dealers best deal is going to be right now. If a customer orders a vehicle there are added costs to take into consideration. Of course he wants to get as much as he can for every car on the lot. If the customer has all of the acurate info and makes it clear that unless the dealer gives them what they want they won't do business, then the customers best deal will be on the vehicle in inventory. I've seen it time and time again.

10% off major service? is this something they offer just at this particular dealership or is this through Subaru?

how much and which dealer did you find the warranty for?

I'm planning to do the IMBA VIP when I am eligible (in about 5 monthes), and would like to know more about how you got the warranty discount. How much is it after the discount and what is the coverage?

Hello, everyone. I heard about the Tribeca in May, and after lurking for several months. we finally grabbed a Ti Silver/Grey Leather loaded with DVD and NAV (6HO). We set up a 3 yr/45K lease. Subaru MF is currently 00.175 w/ residual of 61%. Cap was $500 over invoice. $495/month (including 5% sales tax). We're psyched about the new car....

Before anyone takes urabus1 seriously read his/her post #61. You can deceide if he /she really has the best interest of the consumer in mind...

I have been a member of the Subaru boards since 1999 and have seen very little in the way of "rediculous information" some miss guided perhaps but most of us are capable of using information as we see fit.

I would rather take information from my fellow consumers than someone with the attitude that if the dealer is happy you should be happy. Of course they are happy to move a car off their lot ... even if it is not the one you really wanted, you will be stuck wilth a color you didn't like or with stuff you didn't really want and will live with for 3 or 4 years (or more), but that's OK because they are happy ... beside they probably won't be around the next time you are ready to purchase a new car.

Friends if you do your home work, deceide exactly what you want and shop at least 3 dealers, make a fair offer they will get you exactly what you want. It could take up to 6 weeks if they can not loacate one at another dealer, but the wait will be worth it . I doubt if you will pay any more than if the identical car was on the lot.

Read the information from your fellow consumers on the Tribecca Boards you will learn alot about the tactics the dealer will use to maximize profit keep in mind with the holdback and admin fees the dealership is going to make at least $1000 on every Tribecca sold, profit is fine but don't let them get rich off of you!

Anyone know where the "nations leading Tribecca dealer is located"?
