Bertera will quote over the net ... tell them what you want and make a reasonable offer, they will deal ... you should get $150 over invoice w/ all options. Email is www.berterasubaru.com. Good luck!

The trade value is of course a critical component of the deal ... I received full Edmunds TMV for my '02 Forester. Also keep in mind that there are no dealer incentives at the moment, so you may well get a better price several months from now. Of course your trade will be less. I am happy to buy an '06 now, pay a little more but having the satisfaction of driving the current years model for 17 months and if I trade 4 years from now (' 09 )it is still only 3 years old ('06) so what additional I pay now could well be offset when I trade...

Richard Lucas is the name of the dealership. He used to be a sale guy. He is now the owner.

Is the amount of $42300 a typo.

A tribeca with evry conceivable option has an MRSP of about $39,000

If your # is correct - they were trying to get almost $4K over over retail not $400 over invioce.

Trying to make space in the head to store things like, who has the Mr. Clean Auto wash filter/detergent on sale and who sells the K&N filter for the B9.etc

great experience getting my Tribeca, got IMBA VIP pricing so price was never an issue. Sales people were wonderful letting me try different cars and trying to find one with the options etc I wanted. Walked in with a loan rate I had got online which was very good already and they found something from a local bank for even less. Could have dispensed with the obligatory attempt to sell the "environmental protection package". Thought the finance people should have known how to cash the Subarubucks though, or thought about asking the cashiers office who handle it all the time! These were all minor things though. What was nice was not having to price haggle and being treated real well. Get 10% off all major maintanance for life of vehicle. Also got them to sell the AddedSecurity warranty for 40% off list.(They matched something I found on line from a MA dealer- should have seen their faces when they figured out how much of a discount it was!)
