Just spent the day at Sears Point Raceway and one of the other entries was a C6 Z06, Black and rear end rubber is so wide it looks mean just sitting in the pits. The owner had driven the car back to the SF area from Chicago and had a 2,300 mile trip, in addition to some 12's at the Sacramento drag strip the prior week, just messing around. He did 1.80 for 60 ft on the run flats. Nice to see that there are some that are going to use it for what it was built for. He wasn't running timing so didn't get any lap times. Randy |

| It is next Saturday (the 15th). It should have even closer GT1 racing than Petit Le Mans (4 vs. 9+ hours of racing). | |

Or why people have given up on local dealers. Crown Chev, local in Dublin, CA has the new Z06 for $30k over MSRP and according to one local Corvette guy they turned a friend of his down for $20k over. I'm sure they are a low volume dealer so they don't expect to see very many and they can afford to let it sit since it will probably bring in traffic. There are internet dealers taking orders for MSRP, some people just are slow learners. Randy

Hard to tell speed from watching, true even with race cars where you know about how fast they are and it still looks slower. The compression of the suspension on the red car over that rise comming at the camera and then into the dip was one of the few places it looked like they were pushing the cars. Fun stuff. Randy |

| I saw on Speedvision last night 10/22/05 Tommy Kendall and Jeff Gordon testing the Z06. I was really impressed with the car and so was the test drivers with the power and weight of the new car. One thing I didn`t understand was they said the car has a 427 small block. I thought all engines that big were big blocks, can some one help me understand this? | |
