You might have a very tight motor and it needs to break in a bit, but 7500 seems like a long time to be living with 10 mpg. City driving in Brooklyn is different that city driving........well just about anywhere else.

It bothers me that the pilot is getting the same mpg as a cadillac escalade when the sticker boasts 17 city , 23 highway and I'm getting less than half. not possible, in private driveway and no sign of that whatsoever. i do record the usage everytime i fill up

Replying to: Azudi (Feb 18, 2009 12:28 pm) Have 2009 Honda Pilot Touring with 4800 miles. Trip from western NC to Lynchburg VA, then to Greenbrier WV, returned home, 948 miles, 24.2 MPG. Speed 60-65 MPH. Two people. Some mountain back roads and small towns in WV.   How fast do you drive?

I don't own one, but you might try searching the Pilot Forum. It involved disconnecting the battery and then a specific procedure that caused the computer to re-learn the correct idle timing.
