EPA window sticker in 2001 was 42/49. I have every tank full documented, lowest 44 (75% traffic light inner-city travel), 50 highway average. Daily commute (35% city, 65% highway, average is 47.5 mpg). 2001 TDI Golf, 5-spd

You got very good mileage on your TDI, what is your highway average speed which you get 50mpg? My average highway speed is 80mph for 21mpg.

13.9 or 14 mpg - city driving
20 Hwy.

Very disgusted.

Had the computer checked twice. I do not drive like a maniac. My commute to work is 3 miles each way. Very unhappy. VW says nothing they can do. I am ready to sell it.

Convertible and 6 speed Tiptronic is very heavy, no wonder you only got 14mpg in city, my 2004 VR6 only get 22.5 mpg in 75% highway driving. (75mph)
