I'm not sure how that translates into getting VIN's on orders quicker, but since my April 20, 2008 order doesn't have a VIN yet, there must be something going on that hasn't been fully explained to me for why orders taken after mine (e.g., one dated May 7) have jumped ahead of mine. |

I'm looking to order the 2009 FEHL under the X-Plan but am deciding which dealership I should go with. Is it better to go with a larger dealership, or does it not matter? I went to my neighborhood dealership on Wednesday and they wouldn't take my order because they won't receive their allocations until next Monday. That made me think... does larger dealerships have more allocations? If so, would larger allocations have any impact on the ordering and production scheduling? Would they also have better relationships with Ford reps and therefore maybe able to get orders scheduled and delivered faster? Or does it not matter? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When I ordered my vehicle on April 18th, my dealer told me that the dealership was allocated ten 2009 Ford Escape Hybrids (I am not sure if that was for the rest of the year or not). I do know that I was the first person to order one at my dealership, but there were 4 other people with deposits down. I hope this helps. Thanks. |
