Double check all the parts when the top won't go down, lots of problems with the trunk shelf, just set & reset a couple times. Also had a problem where the top goes 1/2 way down and stops. The little door on the driver side was sticking and didn't go all the way out, after popping it out it goes down, it's a pain but until I get it in the shop it works. Just double check that all the doors etc match (the one on the driver side was straight up and the other side was popped out.

#301 of 326 Eos Battery
Dec 22, 2009 (8:13 pm)
Hi I have not read all the forum notices but has anybody had problems with a dead battery. This has happened 3 times over the last 6 months. The first time it affected the roof and was in the workshop for two days.
The car is a 2007 and has 31,000 miles on the clock.
My wife loves the car but does not trust it.
If anybody has had problems please let me know?

I just had the same prob, my 2007 was dead and I thought it was the cold in Denver so I charged it and it has not re-occured.
Hope something is not sticking on and draining, also have the error light, I hope it's the recall coil as the car runs fine but I don't want to kill it.

Were your car doors closed, if you want your trunk to open, you need to leave the door open or use the keychain to open the trunk, I think it's a safety measure to make sure you don't pop the trunk, then walk away to the bar leaving your car and valuable cheap OEM car tools open to theifs

Within 6 months of entering into our lease agreement with Volkswagen, the windows of the car would have dew & FROST on the INTERIOR of the car windows. We complained to our local dealership & “they could not duplicate the problem!” Time passed because of personal issues & we were unfamiliar with the "lemon law" & our rights.Recently the car which has under 14,000 miles, & which we have leased for 2 ˝ yrs, has begun to get a really horrific, leaky, dewy, mildew problem.
Essentially, the vehicle STINKS! THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT FIX THIS PROBLEM.
Volkswagen Corporation also refuses to let us terminate our lease. We were forced to retain an attorney. We feel (#$%^&*^%$) in every way!
They have offered us one lease payment towards compensation! It still doesn’t fix the problem or even pay for the gas which was spent on SIX trips
bringing it to the dealership for repair.. Nor does it even NEARLY address the REAL problem: THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE FIXED!
They are in breach of warranty for sure; they will not talk to us; they won’t fix the car; they can’t fix the car; they won’t let us out of our lease; they are
for sure breaking numerous consumer protection laws—but still—they are a big & powerful company & we, only peons, idiots, who keep making payments
for a car that we'd love to see the CEO of Volkswagen spend 15 minutes gagging in! We'd GLADLY pay for THAT! If we refuse to pay the lease, our credit gets shot & we get hit with all kinds of fees & finance charges! Why is this fair or right? Honest, hard working people, just trying to find justice & get a fair response in regard to what we have paid so dearly for.
Can anyone help?

#306 of 326 Battery eating EOS
Feb 17, 2010 (6:35 pm)
The latest news on our EOS is that if we do not lock the car the NEW battery will go flat?? My wife forgot to LOCK the car which sits in the garage on Friday at 6:00 pm and tried to start the car on Monday morning at 7: am and the battery was dead. The dealership told her they cannot find any problem with the car. So for all of you out there with an EOS do not forget to lock this car as it is very hungry and loves to eat the power from the battery.
PS My Mercedes is parked out in the snow and the cold is 4 years older than the EOS and has the original battery from new but starts every time plus I leave it unlocked. Go Figure
#308 of 326 ALL 2007 EOS OWNERS I NEED HELP!!!
May 12, 2010 (7:20 am)
Dear Eos owners,
I am currently interested in getting an Eos. Its a 2007, 19,000 miles, white, leather interior car. I've read about some of the issue concerning water leakage, and battery issues. I really luv this car, and have wanted a convertible since I was a kid! Do u think I should buy it for the price of 22,969 (which i will ask them to lower it to at least 19,500 or 20,500)??
Im suppose to meet with the dealership today in fairfax, va....any advice is appreciated, what should i do? or ask the dealer?
