For those considering leasing that really do NOT plan on buying out your leas, I am starting to get interesting traction w/ 3rd party leasing specialists...

I'll post more when the #s start to roll in.

I've got $1200 off the sticker at Park Ave Audi, NYC. They offered this
without even me asking!

A3 silver/black, DSG, premium, climate.

This was, as the saleswoman explained, one of the first cars they got:
it's premium pckg has 5-spoke wheels and no fog lights ($150
discount on the sticker), but has rear seat sunshades (similar to A4).
$28885 total. 2.9% financing is fantastic.

Overal, it was a very nice experience.

BTW, I was very skeptical about DSG (my previous car was a GTI VR6 w/ stick),
but once I tried it, I was totally sold on it (in "S" mode)

i stopped today to browse 9and re-submit my itunes certificate that they lost). I asked about leases, and just got a vague answer that they have rpograms). I'm guessing there isn't anything exciting yet, they seem to be reserving that for the A4.

It also has convenience package, xenons, sound package and winter package. The sticker was $31855 and I got it for roughly $1000 off MSRP at Audi of Alexandria in the DC area. The Audi of Alexandria team were great, working with me first over the internet before the car had arrived answering questions etc, and then in person while my wife and I took several test drives to determine what we wanted.

It was my first Audi-buying experience but they were very pleasant to work with and I was very happy with my deal. I'm coming to this car from a 2000 Jetta 1.8t that I loved and the A3 exceeds it in every category - driving dynamics, comfort, safety, road noise, utility of space, and fuel economy. I can see why some folks would want to wait for quattro, but for me this is the drivetrain I would have most likely selected anyway, so I'm quite happy.

To me, this is a very reasonably priced car for all you get and my understanding is that we in the USA are getting it at a several thousand dollar discount from folks in other markets where it is selling in greater numbers.

A coworker bought a red A3, with no options, manual, for 4k off invoice, or 21.5k.

Over $2K under dealer cost? How do you think that would be possible?

Was this one of the initial demo cars that would by now have fairly high milleage? If not, that's an incredible deal!

Can you cancel a sold order from a dealer? by alobar

Hey Audi peeps -- i ordered my A3 in early May from a dealer here in CA (Lava gray, open sky, xenon, premium pkg, sound) , with the express understanding that it would be here EASILY within 3 months, within plenty of time for me to take it on a long-planned road trip in late July. Now, one month later, I'm told it won't arrive until late *September*, over two months later that I was told. I know those Germans take long summer vacations, but geez.

My question: what's the customer's rights re: sold orders? Can I cancel it? Take my biz elsewhere can get the car much sooner from another dealer who has one in stock (or will have, sooner)? The CA dealer hasn't charged me anything for the order yet, and I've put no money down. Am i stuck?

thanks!
