Are there any other cons you think other than the gas milage being less than what's stated? I am not as concerned about the difference in the price between the rx and rxh...I just don't know if I should stick to the rx since it is "tried and true." Replying to: stan17 (Jan 01, 2006 8:27 pm) I owned an rx 330 and put 85,000 trouble free miles on it. I now own an rx400h and only have 1100 miles on it. I like the 400h even better than the 330. The " transmission" is smoother and the pick up is faster. The engine kicking in and out is not a problem. The 8 year warranty on the hybid part of the car eliminated in my mind the risk with the hybrid. You can not go wrong with either model.

Replying to: desoto1 (Jan 01, 2006 5:19 pm) At the moment all Toyota/lexus 5-speed transaxles (2002-2005,2006??) seem to have the potential to exhibit a problem referred to as engine hesitation. Some owners experiencing this problem claim it is potentially dangerous or hazardous. Several TSBs, and/or revisions to the original one first issued in early 2003, are available describing the three commonly occuring circumstances under which it is deemed most likely to occur. To date there have not been enough "votes" to state that the 06 models do or do not have the same problem. So in the meantime I would vote for the RXh.

My new 400h has a horrible musty smell when the A/C is turned on after restarting. My neighbor has the same problem. The dealer has tried twice to remove the odor but has not been successful in detecting the source. Has anyone else experience a foul odor emitting from the vents when the A/C is turned on after the vehicle is stopped?
