It said that Garfinkle's design was inspired by the 1969 Lancia Marica show car. (No idea what that would look like? Would that be a Frua design as well?)

Looks like a DKW, but with all the East German junk (lots of Wartburgs...bad name for a car) in the background, it could be some postwar monstrosity contrived by the commies in East Germany using salvaged dies, like the EMW. Replies to this message: andys120 (May 09, 2005 4:56 am)

No one else has any idea what that was. Actually Fin was pretty close. It's a Sachsenring IFA F8 sedan, made from 1949 to 1955 by the same folks in the DDR who gave the world the Trabant, it is based on prewar DKW mechanicals.   I wouldn't have known either.
