Looks like a DKW, but with all the East German junk (lots of Wartburgs...bad name for a car) in the background, it could be some postwar monstrosity contrived by the commies in East Germany using salvaged dies, like the EMW.

No one else has any idea what that was. Actually Fin was pretty close. It's a Sachsenring IFA F8 sedan, made from 1949 to 1955 by the same folks in the DDR who gave the world the Trabant, it is based on prewar DKW mechanicals. I wouldn't have known either. |
