Did you mean FORMER instead of FORMAL?
My WAG, based on the trunk, is a Chrysler or Imperial.

1956 Chrysler, and from the relative absence of chrome trim, I'd guess it's just a Windsor and not a New Yorker. Car next to it is either a Plymouth Acclaim or Dodge Spirit.

I thought we had this one, or something very much like ot some time ago... The main car is a Fairthorpe - either an Electron or possibly an Electron Minor. The coupe with the number patch on the door is I think a Warwick or a Peerless, although bits of it look strange to me. The exposed wheel to the extreme right belongs to a Dellow or just possibly a Buckler. The slightly lighter green car in the middle, that looks like an Alfa, is I think an RGS, but I would have to look in various books at home to check what model - It looks just like a Alfa, but the proportions are a bit different, and given this is clearly a kit-car meeting......
In the background the red cars apppear to be Rochdales, although the one with the clear view is a bit odd, and might be one of the very last Rochdale Olympics, which I think was the Mark 4(?) I'm stumped by the white car in the top left - and most of the others are subject to a degree of guesswork...

I think the white car in the upper left might be a Gilbern--on the general theme of component cars from the British Isles. And I thought the car in the foreground was a Lenham Sprite rather than a Fairthorpe--though I will defer to you on it.

Yep, the main car is a Fairthorpe Electron Minor. Are you telling us the red car in the background isn't a Porsche 911 but rather some weirdo kit car called a Rochdale?
You might be right, I looked up Rochdale at motorbase.com and came up with a car that looks like a 911 from a distance. It's even got flag style mirrors and black-center wheels, a bumper and hood slot like an 80's 911 >

The 56 is a Chrysler and it's a Windsor from what I can tell. The front end has a logo in front of the wheel that doesn't look like Windsor. I'll have to go back by to check it.

That Rochdale appears to have been (poorly) modified (or photoshopped) to make it look (slightly) more like a 911. No two look exactly alike, but here's a more representative example of the phase one Rochdale Olympic:
