I was a kid during the early 60's and Jim Clark was a hero to me. Ginther was brave, brave man.... but not foolish enough to drive the 3 liter air-cooled car that followd the RA-272.

If he thought he was going to crash he'd stand up in the seat and pitch himself overboard (apparently he didn't wear restraints). He did this on several ocassions and sometimes injured himself but never seriously enough to cause permanent damage or even miss more than three or four races. Orginally from Kansas City Missouri, Gregory died in his sleep years after leaving racing.
