Replying to: boomchek (Aug 18, 2005 11:45 pm) They were not cheap. $600k fully equipped. Only 8 built before hard times shut them down in the early 1990s. I wonder if the collector value is anywhere near the original selling price.

Dunno what the blue soft roader is, but I bet it's from India or Malaysia

There must be a dozen questionable car companies in India now. No idea.

Replying to: fintail (Aug 19, 2005 10:12 am) I just returned from India, and there are only 3 Indian car manufacturers. India has Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, Fiat, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Opel, Porsche, Bentley but the blue SUV is from none of these companies. It's Indian made, and relatively new to the market. |

Hmmm...not a Hindustan Ambassador or a Tata...the only ones I can think of right now.

Replying to: fintail (Aug 19, 2005 4:59 pm) The Hindustan Ambassador is a unique car. A car whose original engineering goes back to 1955 still being produced 50 years later. When I went in it, nothing about the car would indicate it belonging to the 21st century. |
