Ah, yes! The '47 Cisitalia. This car was indeed influential, as a good deal of the '50s GT coupes from Europe were hugely inspired by it. The styling of this car was way ahead of it's time.

The Cisitalia 202 Gran Sport's influence on GTs to this day can be seen in this side view.

Not Surpisingly it's a Pinin Farina design and perhaps his best.

"You're right on the year, Lancer but weren't the Turbine/Star Wars wheels specific to the first Gen 99 Turbo models?"

I dunno, you tell me; I was 4.

yuck...the TD....you're breakin' my heart. Now why didn't you pick the far prettier TC? Or did you know that most MG lovers hate the TD?

I can't stand the TDs...the wheels are too small and really spoil the entire car. They make a charming car ugly to look at.

What a difference the right proportions make!!

early '70's Matador (edit, ah it's a '72). Still see several around town here in SE Wisconsin - I live in the city where AMC lived.

I happily concede that the TC is the prettier car, I just happened to come across a good picture of a TD. As for which car MG lovers prefer, I'm under the impression that the TD outsold the TC.

Here's another sportscar to sleep on...

My personal favorite Porsche, for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

That's also why a TD is worth less than a TC today by a considerable sum. Less rare and less attractive.
