Beautiful is not a word I would apply to any '59 Chevy, it was the worst year ever for Chevy styling IMO, even the awful '60s looked (a little) better.

Now that I think of it '59 anythings were pretty awful. The exception would be this car>

Nope, the 300C was the '57. That is the 1959 Chrysler 300E, they are very similar.

Good call Kyfdx. It's the 3 Litre Six from a rare big Austin- Healey (most of 'em had two carbs). This '62 Healey 3000 Mk.II/BN7 was one of only 138 made.

'67 California special?

although now that I look at it closer, it has Shelby side scoops (and it looks like tailpiece).

Oh heck, I don't know!

I think you hit the nail on the head, SG - the CS's had those scoops and the Shelby-style rear end. Somebody tried to sell my FIL a plane-jane Mustang, called it a CS, glad he didn't bite

Having lived in the Northeast, I'm not sure what a "California Special" is...but I do know the the car in question is a 1968 Mustang (see the side marker lights).
