NSU 1200. They were clearly influenced by first-generation Corvair styling.

Yep it's a 1970 NSU 1200TT and, like the 2002, it borrowed heavily from the Corvair.

Yes, and like the earlier '51 Ghia-designed K-310 Chrysler, you can see the Ghia influence in the new 300-C; especially with the "brow" above the headlights, and certainly the grille too.
