seems so out of place on a busy urban street like that, but I suppose New Yorkers had to buy their gas somewhere.

Replying to: bumpy (Dec 13, 2007 1:26 pm) In busy parts of Manhattan (that looks like the Times Square area) they'd put the gas stations inside garage structures. By the time I moved to NY in '68 most of 'em had moved outside to the extreme East or West Side. |

Replying to: fintail (Dec 13, 2007 12:59 pm) I think you've covered all the identifiable cars except the taxi behind the Dodge which I think is a '53 Plymouth. Jag called those Drop-Head Coupes(DHC) to distinguish them from the Roadsters which lacked roll up windows and a readily folding top (you had to assemble/disassemble it piecemeal and store it in the trunk).
