This forum is to ask questions or enjoy bragging rights about swapping out your stock engine for a more powerful one, be it the same make or from another make of car. This forum is NOT for descriptions of replacing same with same merely to replace a blown up motor. Use the Maintenance & Repair Board for that kind of swap.

| have located the adapter plate for the 440/viper engine and tranny combo. WILCAP mopar adapters has just about every adapter plate to hook any trans to any any engine. Very pleased with them. | |

the engine is a Chevrolet V8. if ne1 knows any modification i could to the engine a list would be g8 i will be very thankfull.

A friend of mine has asked me to help him put the engine/trans from a wrecked 1996 Nissan 200SX into a 1983 Nissan/Datsun Sentra. Anybody ever heard of this kind of thing working out successfully? I know it will be quite a bit of work, but im willing to try anything for the sake of turning some wrenches on a Saturday afternoon (or 20). Just kind of curious what im about to get myself into.

Replying to: 130dr (May 24, 2006 3:53 pm) I'd say mucho homework before you even turn a wrench. if you have to fabricate a bell housing, well....good luck... In theory, you can put any engine in any car, but time and money and skill are required in abundance. Think it out first before you jump in. You might have to cruise the INternet to see if anyone has gone before you into this dark night.
