| Now updated. Mentions the new RNS-510 navigation systems. Even says that it's bluetooth capable. I guess bluetooth is finally coming. | |
|
SEL model, with AWD.. sunroof and NAV.. MSRP = $37K!! I guess you'd compare it to an Acura RDX at about the same price... but, those aren't selling, either.. |

| VW will be releasing a Bluetooth kit within the next 6 months. Will have full RNS-510 integration with touch screen dialing. This new kit will probably have the Bluetooth A2DP in addition to the usual hands free profiles. The A2DP profile allows you to stream music from your phone to the RNS-510 headhunit. The RNS-510 integration is quite good. Touch screen dialing, Contact list, settings, answer/recieve, and 6 different phone number presets. Hope this helps. | |

Replying to: feliciatwo (May 08, 2008 4:24 am) Do not expect a Tiguan less than $28,000. Think about an Outlander if you cannot afford a Tiguan 2.0L petrol. All just propaganda. |

On the VW site for the Tiguan its says: Fuel Requirement: Premium fuel recommended for maximum performance. Does this mean you can use regular, 87 Octain too? According to Consumer Reports, if it does not "require" premium, you can use regular 87 Octain. It would be much easier if VW just gave the minimum Octain requirement? Anyone have any better information?

Not an expert here, but before i bought my 07 Audi A3....i went through this exact same question-discussion here on the edmunds forums. Everyone has their own opinion. But i think the bottom line is this:if the manufacturer recommends premium. USE PREMIUM, if you dont, performance can suffer and Gas milage will be less....and opinions differ on if it'll harm the engine...lots of people use regular from what i read.....i went with premium with no regrets....the added cost isn't as great as you would think it would be. And i agree all manufacturers should design their engines to run on regular. |
