Replying to: quips (Dec 09, 2007 5:49 am) Who heard they would be coming out with one. How realistic. WHEN? Meanwhile, after owning two Outbacks I'm gettering weary of their design elements but not their AWD, Weather band,4 W.Disc..., wonderful sound system, total reliability. Will they be like everybody else? 2010-2011....maybe. Sick of waiting for Diesel ...AND wish it wasn't in a sedan and didn't use UREA (like Honda has).

Well, yeah, this is the Tiguan board, but I heard the same thing about the Subaru diesel: it is available in Europe, but I haven't heard about anything definative in the USA. Yeah, I would hope 2010 too. I'm more concerned about fuel economy, reliability and comfort than I am about any kind of zoom-zoom. I can wait until 2010 and compare the features of each. |

OK, back to Tiguan. Does anyone know with confidence when the US gets the 2.0L diesel? I really want the extra mileage even though diesel costs more.

Replying to: nuthead (Mar 28, 2008 7:35 am) Meanwhile, i just read finally, in automobile magazine about Subaru arriving in Diesel in 2010 and Both Honda and Subaru will give us the more effieicient Diesel withOUT urea. Hopefully there's a significant redesign of BOTH the Accord and whatever Subaru comes out with. I've owned both for a long time and it's getting old. |

The Tiguan will get a new optional iPod/USB adaptor. It's a dealer installed option or maybe it will be avaliable factory installed. The unit is quite expensive but should have full iPod/USB integration. Will also have full integration with the new RNS-510 navigation system that the tiguan is getting. The unit costs 499 USD and the iPod cable is an additional 65 USD.
