2006 SEL with leather, 50/50 3rd row split seat, front row comfort package, reverse sensing system and safety package. Paid $27,000 out the door after the $1,500 rebate I combined with 0% financing. Edmunds says this configuration invoices at $27,078 (or $25,578 after the rebate). Arizona/Phoenix sales tax was $1,960; title and license was $468. So after subtracting that combined $2,428 from the total I paid, I figure I was about $1,000 under invoice. (The dealer claims they were more like $1550 underwater, but they're including the combined $560 they charge for doc fee and the "vehicle interior/exterior protection system" - whatever that is.) I think I did okay, but I might have been able to do even better if I was a better negotiator. The moral of this story: If you find a 2006 you like, feel free to find a cozy spot under the invoice. There's plenty of room down there ... |

I am in Charlotte, NC and just went to dealer to check out a 2005 used Freestyle. After discussion he worked up price for a new 2007 AWD Limited with Nav, backup sensors, full tinted glass, sat radio and all options except DVD. MSRP sticker was $36,080 minus incentives = $31,098 It seems like a good deal- any comments? Glare discussion is interesting; Ive not experienced this in previous cars, not noticed it in test cars I drove (bright sun, noon - 3 pm). |

A Boston area dealer is offering the above for $22K which is $6,600 off. Seems like a good price. Even with a few options it would be a good deal. Do you think they will go lower in a few months? Would prefer the 08 but with a big discount we could live with this. Also offering a 24 month lease for $229 per month with zero down. 10,500 mile a year. Unfortunately we are putting 23,000 miles on our 2002 Trooper every year. |
