The "Rudder" on the hood is a part used on Korean models of the Azera called the Grandeur.

Say Mike, I was interested with the replacement Genesis grill UNTIL I found out the price tag. WOW, it was over twice the price of my "H" less replacement grill, which by the way, looks pretty good for $100. Now, in all fairness if I hadn't gone "H"less last Jan., this is one sweet grill I would go for.

LOL Yeah...the price is a bit up there, but I guess you pay more to be unique. I'm seriously considering the Genesis grille when I start my mods, but it's a toss up between that and the Ixion grille. Decisions...decisions...

I'd get the Ixion, then paint that chrome strip over it in the body color. Make that nose look lower and less squarish.

I really like that chin spoiler and the rocker-panel fairings, too. Those are also Ixion, right?

Yeah...I'm definitely going with the body kit.

2006 Hyundai Azera Limited Hood Release Latch Broke inside the vehicle by ironsapper

I have a 2006 Azera Limited and the problem is with the Hood release inside on the drivers side. The cable will not unlock when I pull on it, and it does not have any torch on it when I pull. Because when you pull the release handle it suppose to be a little hard and then you here the Hood unlock itself. Which is really not happen at this time. I would like to know is there any other way to unlock the Hood when the release latch is not working. Thanks for your time.

Ironsapper...I too had this very same problem. I found that using a pair of channel lock pliers attached to the end of the cable found under the dash helps you quite nicely. That is if the cable is still connected to the release mechanism.

The first time the issue came up, it was winter time and I thought the cable just got brittle and snapped. I took it in to get fixed and they must've done it wrong because it was harder to open the hood. Well, after a few months, I tried opening the hood and something popped. The release lever just flopped loosely and upon inspection, the metal that surrounds the barrel at the end of the cable had broken. To open the hood, I grasped the end of the cable with a pair of pliers and pulled and the hood would open.

Anyway, getting it fixed the 2nd time (at a different dealership) proved to be the answer. Not only did they fix it, the hood seemed to release much easier like it did when the car was new.

Good luck!

I just wanted to say thanks for you responding back to my post. I will try that and see will it open up.

Ironsapper...IF it doesn't work for you, then it's a possibility that your cable snapped somewhere between the hood latch and the firewall. In which case, the dealer will have to figure out how to get under the hood.
