Replying to: grayfox (Feb 25, 2007 1:48 pm) You want to see if you can add LED's to the AZERA strip across the back between the two tail lights??? You would probably be better served by taking a trip to your local Pep Boys, Auto Zone or looking online for some LED's. Next step...drill holes equidistance apart (big enough for the light to fit into. Insert bulb and seal with a good clear silicone. You might want to see if you can tap into the brake light wires so that it will work in conjunction with the tail lights as one complete unit. Not sure if you'll have to get any sort of relays since the tail lights are LED's.

Replying to: allmet33 (Feb 27, 2007 6:11 am) As far as the Azera lights are concerned, I don't want the rear end to look like it was hit by an Auto Zone or Pep Boys store. I realize many LEDs could be made to work but if it isn't going to look like a factory lamp, I won't try. Thus the reason for my looking to salvage some trunk lamp units; the reflectors molded into the factory plastic are the distinctive feature. Without that, you have a Rube Goldberg looking arrangement. |

Replying to: grayfox (Feb 27, 2007 6:34 pm) I understand your concern, that's why I'm not sure if it'll work completely as the Azera strip doesn't have the same refective qualities that the tail lights do. Good luck with whatever you end up doing.
