Oh...I did, Alexandria Hyundai (Alexandria, VA), but I did put the names of the two folks I deal with regularly...that's what I was referring to.

Ken Dixon Hyundai (Waldorf, MD) is another that's been pretty good as well.

Initial programing by floridabob1

If the dealership from which you purchased your Azera refuses to do initial programing for door locks and limp home mode, you should notify Hyundai Consumer Affairs (Obtain a file number) I am certain that they will convince that dealership to perform that service for you, free of charge.
I would notify the owner of your local dealership of the poor treatment that you have received.

Absolutely, however...if you choose to go to another dealership...speak with the owner/manager and tell them your story of mistreatment. In some cases, you'll find they will want to win your business over and they'll start treating you as if you had bought the car from them.

I've got a dealer in my back yard (5 mins from my house) that I won't even consider dealing with because of past reputation and what I've seen from having gone there before. I don't mind the 20 minute or 30 minute drive to the two other dealers.

Hood release cable by allmet33

Well, well, well...it seems that the cold temps were too much for my hood release cable. I went to open the hood to refill my windshield washer fluid resevoir and when I pulled the hood latch...nothing happened. I thought maybe it was frozen, so I poured some hot water down the hood...still nothing. Actually, I don't think the weather played a major deal in all this, it was probably defective and the really cold temps just helped the defect come to light.

Took it to the dealer earlier this afternoon and within 15 minutes...they came back to tell me that the cable had somehow snapped. Well...the tech said he is ordering one, so hopefully by Wed. or Thurs. my hood will be fixed.

Hope they topped-off your washer fluid (with de-icer) in the meantime!...

I wonder if both cables broke at a common point? Maybe it is something we can all check visually or do we just wait until it breaks?

I'd love to! This isn't the 1st time this dealer gave me resistance about programming. The first time concerned the WOT (wide open throttle) issue that a TSB was even issued for!! Pat, can I post the dealer's name and address?

I did get a file number from corporate. They promised a response in a few days. I'll call them on Wednesday if no response by then. Thanks.

Posting the dealer's name and general location is fine. We'd rather you did not post specific contact information. See the Rules of the Road (link on the left) for details.
