an Azera today, caught me by surprise. I was walking back from grocery shopping, and got a slight glimpse of its interior. Interior looks very upscale. The styling is very sophisticated and classy (with all the chrome touches) But, I prefer the Sonata's front. The rear LED's give it a more upscale look. I wish I'd saw more of the interior. Replying to: ctalk (Oct 26, 2005 12:14 pm) I saw a black Azera about a month ago. It was in the drive through at McDonalds in Napanee, Ontario, Canada. It looked out of place at McDonalds as it was obviously a high end car. It looks much better in real than the pictures even. I thought it looked kind of like a blend of Lexus 430, Acura RL, BMW 6 series and S series Benz (back quarter view). I'm buying one as soon as they're available. What will be the Azera class-size?   Full-size ex. Toyota Avalon, Chrysler 300, and Ford Five-Hundred     or Near-luxury ex. Lexus ES 330, BMW 3 Series, Acura TL, and Infini G35     or Luxury ex. Replying to: taz16 (Oct 29, 2005 2:29 pm) The Azera is definitely fullsize, a competitor to the Five Hundred, Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger, Toyota Avalon, Buick Lucerne and Kia Amanti, though there's no point in getting the Kia when the Hyundai has a better engine and features. Lexus ES330 is a possible competitor, although it is smaller.   No way is it close to the TL, G35 and 3 Series. They are all small sport sedans which the Azera is not.   And it's not close to the RL, 5 Series, E350, M35 because it doesn't have the brand name, doesn't have the sportiness, and it's way cheaper.   FYI - in 2008 or so Hyundai will introduce a RWD sport sedan to compete with the above mentioned cars. its main competitor is the Avalon, Lucerne, 300, Impala, Five Hundred, and the Amanti, which is now lame-duck since you can get the Azera with more features and a better engine, unless you really want that nice grille the Amanti has. I think the Azera should try to compete in the M-35 and Volvo S-80 class and shy away from the Avalon comparison.
