Bring the Vauxhall VX220 over instead? 30 more HP with 800lbs less weight. I'd rather have a mid mounted engine than a front mounted one too.

The US-spec Elise is a decent amount heavier than the european one. Almost 200 lbs IIRC, but don't quote me on that. -juice |

The Lotus Elise does indeed share a chassis with the Vauxhall VX sports car. The Elise got a waiver from U.S. safety regs. check the link for the new 2007 Saturn Sky New Saturn |
