..which packs every Sky it sells with a "performance package" (huge chrome wheels, "racing tires", lots of chrome, some decals, window tint, etc.), jacking the price up nearly $10K.
They claim they only get one Sky a month, hence the pack job.
The dealer sales rep knew so little about the car it was laughable.
Dealership is Galpin Automotive, by the way (plz feel free to delete dealer comment if posting was inappropiate).

Too bad your dealer was not informed. Ours here in Ct was quite helpful. We chose to NOT go with the chrome since hubby says it is a waste of money. I also do not like leather so the cloth seats it was and they are beautiful! Our dealer here has had many skys' and they go as quick as they get them. I guess us nutmeggers just appreciate a fun car. All the information that anyone needs is in the June issue of Road and Track magazine. You might recommend it to your dealer! Or better yet, go to a GOOD dealer!

Sky performance boost

Does anyone know if there are products out to boost the sky's performance?
It sounds a bit whiney at high RPMs and I wanted to maybe modify the exhaust to get a deeper sound.
I have also heard about after market performance "chips" that can be plugged in to boost HP.
Thanks,
KJ

I have been reading these mgs about legroom and wanted to tell you all that I am 6' 6" 240LB evenly porportioned male and I fit into our Saturn Sky. Although I cannot see someone much taller than I fitting very well, I have no problem driving this car and did I say.....we love it!

Redline is the Saturn "performance" line of cars. Bigger engines, sporty suspension, etc. The Sky Redline will be going into production later this summer and arriving at dealerships probably by October or early November. The Sky RL has a 260hp turbo engine, which is a considerable performance boost over the standard Sky engine of 177hp. The Sky RL will also have Stabiltrak (stability and traction control) as a standard option...this feature is not offered on the regular Sky.
