I have had my FJ since April 06, replaced windshield 2x already and now cracked again. The angle is so vertical that items hitting it are like a brick straight on. I dont think there is much you can do about it, but I hope Toyota makes them more affordable. At $1800, it gets quite expensive and very aggrevating. Love the vehicle though and will keep trucking on, cracked or not.

Thanks for answering Aseenj's question. I have been having the same dilemma, I must have the tow pkg to haul two ATVs. I currently drive a Honda Element which I love. I am sad to trade it in. I have a German Shepard that I take every so I like the suicide doors and utility. I am thinking the FJ will also be easy for my German Shepard to jump in the rear side doors. (She is two and has hip dysplasia). If anyone has an FJ that their dog loves, any feedback would be appreciated. Our other family vehicle is a Jeep Rubicon so maybe we'll get to compare them off-road for fun! Thanks all.

I've been following the FJ for quite some time now, and have been waiting to see what changes Toyo is planning to make on the 2008 FJ before I make a decision on what to buy next... anyone heard anything about any new features/changes in the 2008 FJ? Anybody heard when a 2008 will be available?

Not sure about 2008, but I can tell you there is absolutely no shortages any longer. My small local dealer in Merritt Island, FL has 10-12 of them lined up on the front row of the main highway in every color. Take your pick. Should be a good time to get a deal.

Very tempting! I live in Tampa... a short drive down there. I'm really waiting to see if they offer options to open up the roof (sunroof, removeable top), and rear window. I've got a Jeep, and very seldom take it off the road, but I really like being able to take to top off when the weathers nice. I'm not sure I'm ready to get in a vehicle that's as "cave like" as the currnet model... but I like pretty much everything else about the FJ.
Thanks for the info!

I was told at my Toyota dealer that they are going to put a diesel in the 08 Four Runners and that FJ's will not be far behind.
I already love my FJ but if it had a 4 cylinder diesel, I would be CRAZY about it!!!

Has anyone found a brake controller harness under the FJ dash. I installed the FJ four wire trailer plug using the factory device but now I want a brake controller but cannot find any existing brake connector like the Tundra and Four Runner have...what did I miss?

I would sign up for a diesel if it came with a manual sis speed. The jeep Liberty CRD was not available with standard trans....turned me off.
