Replying to: r79207 (Apr 08, 2007 4:32 am) My car was only 3 months old so the XM was not expired. I could also receive the XM radio. I have the invoice for the replacement of the GPS under warranty. I do know that you can still receive a limited XM radio when expired, however if your car is less than one year old since new than the XM should be in full service.   Jim

Replying to: r79207 (Apr 08, 2007 4:32 am) XM Radio and real time traffic are related,,,either your area does not have that traffic coverage, thus the 30 mile disclaimer, or real time traffic needs to warm up,,,ie collect info,,,I rarely use it,,,live in Charlotte area, travel to Atlanta,,,much more accurate to listen to a good am news talk radio for up to date info,,,even though I have looked at my screen to see what is happening, I do not rely on it and will not re-new that portion of XM, when due.   I question how, and whether or not, the system will accurately re-route you when an accident occurs and is in your route,,,I doubt it,,,all the 'real' info tells me is where an accident is, mileage it is from my current location, hi-way construction spots and that is it,,,No More. In the Tampa area I get real time color coding of some of the major roads and bridges that show the traffic speed based on small radars mounted along the roadway. Replying to: jim_agnew_2 (Apr 09, 2007 8:46 pm) Jim,   You certainly had an XM issue. I too am in Tampa and have had no issues with NavTraffic. It has been consistent and always available. I do park in a garage at the office, but within seconds of pulling outside, the NavTraffic is updated and is displayed.   I literally make a daily decision as to which route to take home based on the NavTraffic alerts.

Has anyone ever had this problem???   Over the weekend my remote stopped working. I purchased my 07 RL two weeks ago and came out to my car only to find that the remote didn't work at all. I entered with the key but then I couldn't start the car. It was almost as if my settings had been erased. Earlier that day, a friend showed me how to let the windows and the sun roof down with the remote. She put the key in manually to let them back up at the same time. I don't think this would have made a difference (it's in the manual I later found out) but it's the only thing I can think of we did in terms of "tampering" with the car.   Long story short: took it in to the dealership yesterday and it was working fine. Replying to: veritas7 (May 16, 2007 6:53 am) I had the same problem with my 06. Took it back to dealer and had the remotes reprogrammed. At first they told me that the door handle had to be replaced, but when I asked them what that had to do with the car not starting, they couldn't give me an intelligent answer. Heaven forbid I'm out of town somewhere and that happens. Luckily my brother was able to bring me the other working remote.

My 02 RL has 80k miles and has been a great car(my third Acura)but has one annoying noise problem. For the past two years, the combination of summer heat(+80 degrees) and about 40 minutes of driving results in a loud creaking or popping sound coming from the front. I can actually feel it traveling up the steering column. It seems to be weight bearing related as it makes noise when the weight of the car shifts forward when stopping and when I shift my weight exiting the front door( even when the engine is off). The dealer has checked it out several times without a solution. They acknowledge the noise but have no idea what is causing it. Has anyone had a similar problem or can recommend a solution? I think I have a blown fuse for a 2002 RL. I have checked each fuse (under hood and under dash) and can't find a blown fuse.
