Glad to hear the driveshaft is improved--My new one has been installed for several days and it has totally solved the problem. My car sounds great again! Thanks for the update....

My driveshaft came in quicker than expected and has solved the problem. Nice.

Low clearance/poor suspension by dansocal

I'm mad as heck because although I know the clearance is low (the underside of the front of the car always hits curbs when I park) and maybe even the suspension is poor (when I drive into parking lots the front of the car often hits the sidewalk ramp), I was shocked to find that with three small size adult passengers in my car and no luggage, the bottom right corner of my front bumper was severely damaged (indented) just by driving into a parking lot at slow speed. If a car can get damaged by driving it under normal operating conditions, it seems to me that it doesn't meet the basic implied warranty it should have as a motor vehicle. I got zero help from the dealer or Acura when I brought this problem to their attention. Has anyone else had problems with the front of their Acura hitting sidewalk ramps?

My 1999 3.5RL, and many others, I suppose, often hit curbs and parking bumpers in the front, even fairly low ones. Once the black air dam (if that's the right term) below the front bumper pulled off when backing up from a curb which had caught it, and I left it off (now in garage). No more problems with parking, and don't notice any loss in performance. Maybe you or your dealer could remove any similar piece on your RL, then re-install when you sell.

my real time traffic only displays that "there is no traffic information within 30 miles".

I know this cannot be acurate because i have seen accidents and the real time traffic does not show any information. where in the past it has worked perfectly.
anyone have this problem?

I had the same problem and it required the replacement of the GPS.

my dealer tells me over the phone that "real time traffic" is part of the xm subscription and must have expired. which is why no inforamtion displays.

my xm radio still works and i am not sure when the subscription ends. is that true?

My car was only 3 months old so the XM was not expired. I could also receive the XM radio. I have the invoice for the replacement of the GPS under warranty. I do know that you can still receive a limited XM radio when expired, however if your car is less than one year old since new than the XM should be in full service.

XM Radio and real time traffic are related,,,either your area does not have that traffic coverage, thus the 30 mile disclaimer, or real time traffic needs to warm up,,,ie collect info,,,I rarely use it,,,live in Charlotte area, travel to Atlanta,,,much more accurate to listen to a good am news talk radio for up to date info,,,even though I have looked at my screen to see what is happening, I do not rely on it and will not re-new that portion of XM, when due.

I question how, and whether or not, the system will accurately re-route you when an accident occurs and is in your route,,,I doubt it,,,all the 'real' info tells me is where an accident is, mileage it is from my current location, hi-way construction spots and that is it,,,No More.
