Just heard from dealer contact - the official word just came down, and the only incentive upgrade is that they upped the customer cash another grand, making the total rebate $3K. Bummer. |

Tahoe 07 4WD LT w/LT2 options, Rear Entertainment DVD, Paint 20' wheels and a few other things Edmunds MSRP 44K Emunds Dealer Invoice $40,029 Edmunds TMV $ 40,917 Minus 2k Customer rebate $38,917 w/o Title and Tax etc Did I just hear there is an additional 1K in consumer rebate available? I dont know how long its been on the lot so not sure if I can get any manf to Dealer 3K incentive. What is realistic price to pay? Should it be 5% over dealer invoice after deducting the 3K for aged vehicle(assuming its available) and the after deducting the 3% dealer hold back. This is confusing could use some help. If so 40K - 4300 (Aged and Hold back) = True dealer invoice of $ 35,700 + 5% dealer profit = My price should be $37,485 + TTL ? |

A bit of a snake move but wth - and hopefully the nonsense going on with GM further fuels deals. Saw the following posted in another thread: Kickingtires.net reports that GM has 67 days of inventory left at its current rate of sales. |

I noticed that the 3K consumer rebate Chevy has for the tahoe is still good until 10/1/07 but i also noticed that the aged inventory 3k manufacturer to dealer incentive is no longer on Edmunds. I am currently working with a dealer that is helping me find an "aged" 2007 Tahoe. Does anyone know if this incentive is still valid? Is there anywhere else to check besides edmunds or can i call Chevy directly? I hope I didn't miss out on this nice additional 3K

Hi, I'm a first time car buyer and I've decided that I am dead set on getting one of these Tahoes (after lots of saving). Really the only specification that I want is leather seats and a black vehicle. I have had a dealer tell me that it would be "cheaper" for me to get an LS (vs. LT) and have them install the leather for me. Is this a good idea? I'm in Houston and there seems to be a ton of tahoes at every dealer I go to. It seems to be a good time to buy considering the 08's are here and inventories appear to be high....Any feedback for a first time buyer is greatly appreciated....My head is already starting to spin and I've only been to a couple of dealers....brian
