Have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LTZ Trim Package with the following options:

Leather seats
DVD and Navigation pkg.
sunroof
power assist running baords

Asking was 56k, but i got them down to $100 over invoice, plus it's an aged unit, meaning GM is offering $3k for that, plus the $2k on the rebate. Ballpark $42-43k for it....good deal or wait to see if financing changes at the end of the month? Alot of people are saying the Tahoes are leaving the lots, so GM is not going to drop the rates.

And would it be better to wait on the 08's??

Any feedback would be great, before i spent that kinda money.

I was in the dealership yesterday and my brother was casually negotiating on a trailblazer SS. He got the dealer to offer 8k off the sticker without a drop of sweat. These guys are going to be giving away cars in a month. US Retail sales are dropping off as consumers feel the pinch of a slowing economy and we're going to see 15k off sticker soon enough.

Word on the street (read it in another forum I frequent) is that GM is trotting out the 0%/60 on all 07 models next week (starting 9/24). Not sure how reliable the news is, but it fits with their practice over the past few years.

2007 LT1 dealer demo w/6K miles by zoesam

It also has 6 cd changer, 4WD, rear park assist & adjustable pedals. MSRP 41,324, asking price on the window 34K. I believe this to be an "aged" vehicle, is there any way to know for sure? How do I know if the 34K window price includes the 2K current rebate & the 3K aged rebate?

This is a dealer demo, supposedly driven by a manager back & forth to work. It's never been titled. So if it's been in an accident, I'm guessing no one would have had to report that, right? Anyway to be sure it's not been in an accident?

And lastly, what do you think is a reasonable price for this? I don't know how to figure out the invoice price. If I ask the dealer, they'll probably just show me a fake invoice. I'm guessing they keep those on file for just that purpose. Plus there's holdbacks & incentives to consider for the dealer. I see this as essentially a used 1 year old vehicle w/6000m. I'm thinking $28-29K. Thoughts? It's only an LT1, so it doesn't have a ton of bells & whistles, but that's cool w/me.

To determine reasonable price and also invoice, go to Kelly Bluebook (kbb.com) or Edmunds.

Thanks 73shark, I see now the "invoice" price is the middle column on my Edmunds report when I run this as a "new" vehicle. I was pricing this as used, since it does have 6K miles & that Edmunds report doesn't have invoice price.
Sorry for the dumb question LOL.

Just heard from dealer contact - the official word just came down, and the only incentive upgrade is that they upped the customer cash another grand, making the total rebate $3K.

Bummer.

I am looking for an 07 Tahoe - Whats a good deal? by otti

Tahoe 07 4WD LT w/LT2 options, Rear Entertainment DVD, Paint 20' wheels and a few other things

Edmunds MSRP 44K
Emunds Dealer Invoice $40,029
Edmunds TMV $ 40,917
Minus 2k Customer rebate $38,917 w/o Title and Tax etc

Did I just hear there is an additional 1K in consumer rebate available? I dont know how long its been on the lot so not sure if I can get any manf to Dealer 3K incentive.

What is realistic price to pay? Should it be 5% over dealer invoice after deducting the 3K for aged vehicle(assuming its available) and the after deducting the 3% dealer hold back. This is confusing could use some help.

If so 40K - 4300 (Aged and Hold back) = True dealer invoice of $ 35,700 + 5% dealer profit = My price should be $37,485 + TTL ?
