they should have the 3.5L in the base Supra making about 300 hp to squash the 350Z. They should also have a large V8 making about 350-375 hp. ""and then TRD that to 400hp."" Yeah! (If not higher

They could probably take the one from the IS and beef it up, shorten throws, etc. I also liked the SMT in the MR2. It was a lot better than BMW's *#&% SMG.

| all this talk about the 07 supra having so much power is sweet, but sales can't be that great with a toyota going for $40,000. that reminds me... why did the last supra cease? i'm just sayin. | |
Anyone heard any recent news on the new Supra? I heard it's gonna debut in Tokyo in October, i can't wait to see it!

All I see are a bunch of weird transportation module/podmobile concepts featuring a bunch of hybrid/fuel cell powertrains. And slight mention of the Lexus LF-A with a 500hp V10 (and likely near $100k pricetag). And absolutely no mention of a new Supra. So, it doesn't look like a new Supra will be shown at the Show (at least, not as a 'concept'). I have no idea if Toyota will show us a production version or not once the show officially opens. But I'm getting antsy.....

with that LF-A? A CL55 fighter? Will it even have a back seat? I forget. Haven't heard a word on Supra since the 'net went wild with unfounded rumors a while back. I don't think it is happening. An '07 model would be arriving in 12 months or less from right now. Still who knows, car show season is coming up... |
