Fairfax, VA dealer has a fully loaded model w/ sunroof, but says he cannot find what I want. They seemed like they were only interested in selling what they have in stock, which is no surprise. Either prices have gone up about $5k in month, or the information posted by longo2 is for the stripped down sedan and not the sportwagon. I did not expect the Fitzmall people to double talk their own information. They told me exactly what was on the website. With a sunroof and DSG the price is $26,970 including destination fee for a black/beige car that is right now on the boat and will be here in about 2 weeks.

I don't think it has the roof, (but wrong color) and this one $27955 but it has Navi and the roof.   http://www.fitzautomall.com/fitzway/carfind/resultsa.asp   It's a good internet place to check prices and details before you get the hard sell from any dealers about prices and avalability. But it looks like they are now not giving the great deals on the Sportwagons like they are on the Sedans. Maybe they never did, but at least they have a couple.   None of my business but I would wait for the new 2010 Jetta Sportwagon model that should be out in a couple of months or so. I just bought my VW Jetta TDI sedan, red, sunroof, mat package, ipod adapter, with DGS from Fitzgerald's Auto Mall in Frederick MD. Price $22,037 before tax, title, and $100 processing fee. I thought that was a great deal. The internet sales manager was outstanding!!

I just had a look at their inventory and they have another Salsa Red Jetta TDI with the same options as yours, but its almost $400.00 more than you paid. Did yours have cloth seats and no steering wheel controls? Replying to: moparbad (May 25, 2009 8:46 pm) I just looked at an 09 Jetta Wagon yesterday and it had cloth seats and no steering wheel controls.   I find it strange VW would put all that glass in the roof of a Station Wagon, and to make matters worse, a roof antenna for the radio.   Das Dumb.

Just bought a new Jetta TDI SW with DSG, Ipod and mat kit. Price was 25K plus doc fee of $444.. Doc fee was a little high but the price was well below MSRP. I think I did well on the price. First trip this weekend, mostly highway at speeds between 60 and 70 MPH resulted in 42.7 MPG. Not a bad start !
