Jersey Dealership Paid $21,783 for a TDI Sunroof and ipod connector, $150 title/registration fees 197.75 Other clerical fees (too tired to negotiate) Total 22,130.75 Invoice: 24,041 Just a FYI, I feel I got jacked on my trade in by $500 - 1) Check out costco or BJ's auto program- will get you a dealer atleast who is willing to talk (I got an great quote, which I parlayed into a better one from a closer dealer) 2) Did internet quotes, after first good quote, I told others what I was offered, as for match or lower. 3) That Fitzmall site, is a good site to give you an idea of what dealers can go down to. Granted I wasnt going to VA to get a car, but I knew how low the dealers I was working with could go. 4) Also for financing, get your own, and use that as a bargening. The dealership beat chase bank which was offering me 4.75 APR by .10 . Not much but if I didnt have the backup of chase they probably would have banged me out. |

Seems Jetta TDI's are easier to buy on the East Coast than anywhere else..(in Great FAlls Montana they are trying to get an extra $2000 over MSRP!)

But it looks like they are now not giving the great deals on the Sportwagons like they are on the Sedans. Maybe they never did, but at least they have a couple. None of my business but I would wait for the new 2010 Jetta Sportwagon model that should be out in a couple of months or so. It will now have the steering wheel controls included, and a few other features worth waiting for. VW knows they have the only high mpg TDI's in a moderate price range and the dealers are all pretty cocky about it. Here's some info on the new VW TDI's that are coming to North America later this year. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot_lists/high_performance/vw_audi_central/2- - 010_volkswagen_jetta_sportwagen_car_news |
