Replying to: rik4 (Mar 15, 2009 11:29 am) In Florida. Purchased an 2009 sportwagen candy white with tan interior. 6-speed automatic trans and pan sunroof were only add ons. MSRP $26,970.00 Invoice $25,450.00 Paid $25,209.00 plus $292.50 dealer fee + tax + tag and title. If you factor in the dealer fee, then I paid $50 over invoice. Not too bad.

Took delivery on March 19. salesman pointed out that it came with an Engine Heater. Had the unit on the Hoist the other day and removed the bottom engine cover. This heater is a Factory installed unit,as you could see how the heater was tied in(hoses, steel pipe, etc). I plugged it in and this heater works fast! Neat thing was,I ordered the car without a heater. It is a $495 item. So this ended up being a freebee! This '09 feels like a luxury car compared to my '02 Jetta. Very big improvements in noise level, trim, interior space, ride. AND POWER! Put her down into sport mode and watch out. Very happy with this unit! |

For those shoppers looking for some bottom line, hard number$ on new 09' Jetta TDI's here's a group that currently has 28 of them all below MSRP. Here's an example of my favorite... Candy White Sunroof DSG a/t transmission Ipod ready Rubber floormats FitzMall Delivered : Internet Price: $22,331.00 Value Price: $22,700.00 Invoice Price: $24,138.00 MSRP: $25,138.00 You need to be on the East Coast (or really creative) to cash in on this, but if nothing else, it makes great comparison shopping and if you print out the deal you like, take it in to your nearst VW dealer and lay it on the table. Expect a lot of double talk when they see the below invoice numbers.... http://www.fitzautomall.com/fitzway/carfind/resultsa.asp

| Just wondering if anyone knows if the Comfortline TDI wagon is a scarce commodity in Canada? Am dickering with a dealer and getting the ole "We can barely get these, we can't give it to you for that price..." schtick. | |

Hi Everyone! Just went to one of the VW Deals night thingy where you can get some free food and drink. I settled on a Jetta TDI Highline (I live in Canada) with ESP and Rear Side Airbags for $31500 for everything including taxes. Would this be considered a deal? Thanks! |

| The dealer held firm at their price. When I calculate up from invoice, it appears they want 11% profit. Maybe I'm out of touch with how popular this model is but jeez that seems a bit rich. | |

| Forgot to back out the tax. There's a reason I don't do math for a living. The markup is closer to 6.5%, maybe that's not so bad for a hotly desired car? | |
