Replying to: rtw67 (May 19, 2007 8:13 pm) There are no 06 Jetta's left in Houston. Been gone for a while. The emmissions is the reason, when the 08 comes out expect a $2,500 bump. They will hide it in minor redesign but the reality is the re-engineering to hit the sulpher levels. The 06 TDI is a very high demand vehicle.   I have an 06 and I wouldn't trade it for anything on the market. Diesel is 20 cents cheaper and I am getting 42 MPH driving like a bat out of hell. Zero problems. 26K at the 9 month mark.

I am in the process of purchasing a 2006.5 diesel edition jetta from Langhorne Volkswagen in PA for 100.00 over invoice at 25365.00. I think MSRP was like 26700, something like that. Check out the tdiclub.com website for more information. Plenty of diesel jetta's on the east coast. Replying to: kyfdx (Jun 07, 2007 6:40 am) To my knowledge this is what they have offering now..   All Jetta and Beetle TDI's now have an enhanced APR rate for tier 1 customers thru VW Credit. I know, I am trading in my 2005 Avalon, I just hope this will turn out to be a good decision based on the history of Volkswagen's reliability. So we'll see.. You know what, I am nervous buying any newer cars now. I think there are some serious issues with some of the "new technologies" that they are putting into todays cars. So at this point I think it's a gamble with any car we buy. I have issues with my 05 avalon...and it's the flagship toyota sedan. I will say my GF has had nothing but good results with the maximas that she has owned. But she is averaging about 23mpg...
