Having some fun here habitat1 but that's the first time I've ever seen the words "bargain" and "Porsche" in the same sentence.
Now, now, you have to retain the "compared to the 996 Turbo S" for the proper context.
If I'm reading my old Kelly Blue Book correctly, 10 years ago, a 1997 911 Turbo S Coupe had an MSRP of $153,365.
So, it may be relative, but in the past 10 years, the 911 Turbo has actually come down in price, whereas the Ferrari 348/355 to 430 evolution has increased by at least 50%, I believe. We can leave "bargain" as a term that is in the eyes of the beholder.
P.S. Perhaps I should invite Ben Bernacke out for a ride and provide a nice analysis of the 911 Turbo "deflation" of the past 10+ years. I doubt it will be a significant influence at the next Fed meeting, but if I convinced him to forego another fed rate hike, I would be the hero of Wall Street.

It's better than I ever imagined. I am really glad I went with this color choice. When the sun hits the car, it gives off a slight metallic purple hue that looks incredible. Here is a list of the options I picked up.
Atlas Grey/Black Leather Interior
Full Leather Package
Adaptive Sport Seats
19" Sport Design wheels
Multi-Function Steering Wheel
Bose Sound System
I do recommend the ClearBra. Dealer was supposed to install before I took delivery, but they had a problem witht he installer. Supposed to bring in to have it installed soon, unfortunately last week a large pebble hit the hood and left 2 deep scratches near the Porsche emblem. Makes me wanna cry everytime I look at it.

i see that you have the sport design wheels. my 997-911 is on order and i got the sport design wheels also, but have never seen them in person. how do they look? in one photo i saw they almost looked like a painted grey, but in others brushed aluminum. I hope they are the aluminum look, i really liked the look of the wheel design

Ah, so you like the Atlas Grey/Blk Lea. I was hoping that was a good choice. Our dealer did not have one in stock - they have a lot of black and grey, and a midnight blue, (which I thought about ordering). Glad you like it. How about the multifunction steering wheel - is it worth while to have?

I would skip on getting the multi-functional wheel, unless you plan on getting the built in cell phone.

I think the wheels look great, but they are not brushed aluminum. It's a light alloy grey wheel.

Hey Mark -
I use the multi-function buttons in my Mazda all the time.
The band changing (am/fm), channel changing (85.5, 91.3, etc.), volume control, and sometimes even mute. Does the Porsche have these four functions? I've never seen it, but assume it does - I haven't gotten much (any) information from my sale guy.

My 2006 911S Coupe arrived in Canada last week, ready for pick-up tonight. Factory ordered in mid-March. I ordered:
