My previous experience with other makes in this regard has been VERY positive and resulted in a number of purchases since 2000. For some reason, though, the Ford stores (with just a couple of exceptions) have been horrible, refusing even supply a requested price quote. At least here in Central Ohio the market for these cars has virtually collapsed with very few units selling since new incentives were announced at the beginning of the month.

Hi, I am looking to Buy a Mustang V6 Premium coupe in the New Jersey area. I am OK with a 2006 model. The options that I think I absolutely need are 1) Automatic transmission 2) Antilock brakes and traction control 3) Exterior color: Black 4) Leather seats I have a budget of around 20,000. Cant really go above it. Is this a good enough budget for getting the above options. Thanks in advance.

| Bad experience at Gullo Ford in Conroe, TX. Yes, the mailed advertisement sounded too good to be true, but when I called and spoke to a salesman there and questioned the stated rebate of $3500, he said it was new and to come on in and they would get as close to the advertised deal as possible on another unit. I realize that the saleman did not write the ad, but he could check it out instead of using it to get me in the door. His manager was no better saying the referenced stock number was a pickup. This was another example of why you should insist on a stock number that you can verify with Ford's inventory of what is supposed to be in stock before you go to Gullo Ford Conroe. Fool me once.... | |
