And a note to those thinking of the the Pontiac...we will never buy from them again after having a Bonneville go through 6 alternators in 2 years. Finally traded off the car right after the last new alternator was put in. I believe the car was a 96 or 97. Anyway I still do love our Mustang...its so hard to not drive it and get into the 98 chevy truck that just turned over 100,000 miles. Replying to: graphicguy (Jul 06, 2005 4:59 am) the really cool thing is, even though i paid msrp back in november, ford has actually quietly raised the base price by about $700 since then....so i guess i got one for 700 under msrp. i got money saying ford will bump the base price of a gt by at least another $1000 if not more for 2006......and they will still sell every freeking one they can make. keep waiting, bargain hunters. i'm sure it's going to work out fine for you. you can make fun of me once the big rebates and discounts start. no later than march of 2004 if i remember correctly. I was able to negotiate my price down to under invoice. I paid 21,100.00 for V6 with the sport package, "leather" and shaker 500. Also had the classic style rims with the spinners on them. Torch red with black interior. Being a rim lover I had to take those off and put some saucy 20" chrome baby's on there. Anyway you got to work it to get a good price. I refuse to ever pay MSRP.
